QIAO portable EV chargers provide flexible AC charging for everyday home use, travel and backup charging. Across the Q9, Q20 and Q21 series, available charging power ranges from 3.5 kW to 22 kW. Q9 and Q20 models offer 3.5–7 kW options, while Q21 models deliver 9.6–22 kW for higher-power charging needs.
Choose a vehicle connector that matches your EV, then select an input plug and power level compatible with your available outlet. Type 1/J1772, Type 2, NACS and GB/T options are available by model and market.
Portable Charging for Travel, Home and Backup
QIAO portable EV chargers support everyday charging at home and provide greater flexibility when charging away from home. Select a charger, input plug and power setting compatible with the available electrical outlet, circuit and your vehicle’s maximum AC charging rate.
Travel & Backup Charging
Take a QIAO portable EV charger with you for road trips, vacation homes, campsites and other destinations where a compatible electrical outlet is available. It can also be stored in your vehicle as a backup charging option when your usual charger is unavailable. Confirm the outlet type, voltage, current, grounding and permission to use the power source before charging.
A portable EV charger does not store electricity and must always be connected to a suitable external AC power source.
Home & Multi-Location Charging
Use a QIAO portable EV charger for regular charging in a garage, driveway or residential parking area. All QIAO portable EV chargers can be carried between locations or mounted on a wall, making them suitable for homeowners, renters and drivers who charge at more than one location. Always use a compatible, properly rated outlet, follow local regulations and ensure safe cable management during charging.
Type 2 Socket Charging
In some regions, public charging stations require users to bring their own charging cable.
The QIAO portable charger can function as a Type 2 charging cable, connecting the station to the vehicle for convenient and flexible charging.
V2V Emergency Charging
When a vehicle runs out of power on the road, the portable charger enables vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charging.
Connect one end to a power source vehicle and the other to the EV, providing an emergency solution when charging stations are unavailable.

A portable EV charger is a compact charging device that connects your EV to a compatible AC outlet or power source. It safely controls the flow of electricity to the vehicle during charging.
Unlike a portable battery pack, it does not store or generate electricity. It must be connected to a compatible, properly rated electrical outlet. “Portable” means that it can be carried between charging locations—not that it can charge an EV without an external power source.
Yes. QIAO portable EV chargers are designed for both everyday home charging and charging while traveling. They can be a practical alternative to a fixed wall-mounted charger, especially for renters or drivers who want to take the charger with them.
For regular home use, make sure the outlet, circuit, wiring, grounding, voltage, and current rating meet the charger’s requirements and local electrical regulations. Ask a qualified electrician to inspect the outlet and circuit if you are unsure.
Choose a charger that matches your vehicle’s AC charging port, maximum AC charging rate, and available electrical outlet. QIAO portable EV chargers are available with Type 1, Type 2, GB/T, and NACS (Tesla) connector options for different vehicles and markets.
Also consider adjustable current settings, weather protection, portability, and cable reach. QIAO offers customizable cable lengths of 7, 8, 10, 15, 20, and 25 meters. If you are unsure about compatibility, send QIAO your vehicle model, model year, country, and a photo of the charging port.
Choose an input plug that matches the outlet you plan to use and supports its voltage, current, electrical phase, and grounding arrangement. A matching plug shape alone does not mean that the outlet or circuit can safely supply the required charging power.
QIAO portable EV chargers are available with more than 30 plug options for different countries and charging environments. Use only plugs or interchangeable adapters approved for your selected QIAO charger.
Do not use a standard travel adapter, power strip, or household extension cord unless it has been specifically approved for your charger. You can explore compatible options in our EV charger accessories.
Charging speed depends on the available outlet power, charger configuration, current setting, and the vehicle’s maximum AC charging rate. Using a different plug adapter does not automatically increase the charging speed.
A simple estimate is:
Charging time ≈ energy required in kWh ÷ actual charging power in kW
For example, adding 35 kWh at 3.5 kW takes approximately 10 hours, while adding the same amount at 7 kW takes approximately 5 hours. Actual charging may take longer because of charging losses, temperature, power limits, and vehicle charging controls.
